NORTHRIDGE : CSUN President to Be Paid $134,800
The California State University Board of Trustees has approved a $134,800 annual salary for incoming Cal State Northridge President Blenda J. Wilson, who will be the highest paid among the 20 campus presidents in the CSU system, a spokeswoman said Thursday.
Wilson, who will also receive a $2,200 per month housing allowance, will earn more than outgoing CSUN President James W. Cleary, who is paid $124,000 a year and a $700-a-month housing allowance. Wilson begins work Sept. 8.
CSUN officials are also planning to build a house for Wilson using private funds, CSU officials said. Trustees approved Wilson’s salary Wednesday.
Currently, Cleary and two other campus presidents are the highest paid in the system.
