The White House and Congress

Share

For all of the noise being generated over the presidential race, the public should remember that the biggest problem lies in the Congress. Unless a very definite message is sent by throwing out legislators who bounced checks and generally voted their personal beliefs instead of the wishes of their constituents, nothing will change.

Returning the same congressional members will reinforce the invulnerability perception they hold and we, the public, will remain saddled with an unresponsive and ineffective government. It is imperative that this nation, through voting, remind Congress that they represent us. For too long, they have been ruling with an arrogance and bloated sense of self-importance. Real change begins with them.
