Letters That Count

Once and for all, this is concerning the issue of “Murphy Brown.” If all of the conscientious writers to Talk Back truly had an ounce of concern for today’s issues, they would be spending their valuable time writing to their legislators or the governor about homelessness, the budget and education, instead of wasting their writing skills on letters about Murphy (that are in response to letters that are in response to letters, and so on).

Granted, the issues on television are important, but I highly recommend spending that 29 cents on a letter that will really make an impact on someone willing to listen. A boost in CBS’ ratings is good for the producers, but a change in government for and by the people is even better.
