BUENA PARK : Nominations Sought for City Memorial
The Parks and Recreation Commission invites residents to submit names of people who made significant contributions to the city during their lifetimes to be memorialized on a plaque and tree at Boisseranc Park.
The ninth annual Memorial Grove ceremony will be Oct. 24 at the park. The project was established by the city as a way to commemorate local citizens.
Residents can nominate someone who passed away at least three years ago and made a significant contribution of time or service in his or her lifetime.
Applications can be obtained at the Buena Park Recreation Department, 8150 Knott Ave. The deadline is Sept. 10.
The Parks and Recreation Commission will review the applications and select the 1992 honoree. The family will be invited to the dedication ceremony in October.
