Meredith Baxter will reprise her role as San Diego socialite and convicted murderer Elisabeth Broderick, in Betty Broderick: Part II (working title), the continuation of “A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story.”

The new film, which also stars Judith Ivey, is now in production in Los Angeles for future broadcast on the CBS Television Network.

Broderick gained national media attention after killing her ex-husband, Dan Broderick, and his young bride, Linda Kolkena Broderick, as they slept.

Conveying the image of herself as the victim of her husband’s emotional abuse, Broderick twice stood trial for the killings and was ultimately found guilty on two counts of second-degree murder. Betty Broderick: Part II follows Broderick from her arrest and decision to hire a public relations firm in hopes of presenting her case through the media, to her ultimate conviction.

Ivey plays Kerry Wells, who prosecutes at both trials.
