Crawfish Making It Simple

Share

The shores of Lake Cachuma are crawling with crawfish, and for some at the Santa Barbara County reservoir, there’s no reason to fish for anything else.

“I guess they taste like lobster, at least that’s what they say,” Tiffany Hintz, a manager at the lake, said.

“It sounds pretty disgusting to me.”

The crawfish, some measuring seven inches, are being scooped up in nets or enticed by a piece of bacon on a hook.

“I’ve never seen this many,” Hintz added.
