VCN Bancorp Profit Falls 35% in 2nd Quarter
Ventura County National Bancorp, the Oxnard-based parent of Ventura County National Bank and Frontier Bank, said its profit for the second quarter ended June 30 fell 35%, to $383,000 from $592,000 a year ago, because of a decline in net interest income.
For the six months ended June 30, the company’s earnings were up 9%, to $903,000 from $828,000 a year earlier. The bank said its total assets were $409.2 million as of June 30, up 2% from March 31.
