HOLLYWOOD : Bondage Parlor Owner Held in Murder Scheme

The owner of an illegal Hollywood bondage parlor was charged Wednesday with soliciting the murder of a competing licensed bondage shop owner.

Michael Neumann was charged with nine felony counts, including the solicitation of murder, two counts of arson and one count of using a destructive device and explosive, Deputy Dist. Atty. Frank Johnson said.

Neumann was also charged with two counts each of solicitation to commit great bodily injury and solicitation of assault and robbery and one count of solicitation of arson, he said.

He pleaded not guilty and was being held on $750,000 bail. Municipal Court Judge Patti Jo McKay set a preliminary hearing for Aug. 10.

Neumann, who owns the Ball and Chain on Sunset Plaza, was arrested Tuesday at his Hollywood Hills home.
