K-Swiss’ 2nd-Quarter Earnings Jump 19%

K-Swiss Inc. reported a 19% increase in second-quarter profit, to $2.18 million from $1.84 million a year earlier.
The Pacoima-based maker of athletic shoes said the higher earnings came on a 17% increase in revenues for the quarter ended June 30, to $32.8 million from $28.0 million.
K-Swiss’ profit for the first half of this year increased 20% from the comparable 1991 period, to $4.87 million from $4.05 million, and its six-month revenue rose 14%, to $69.5 million from $60.8 million.
