A $25,000 reward was offered Wednesday for information leading to the capture of the killer or killers of retired police officer Karl Randenberg and Tony Rader a month ago.
Councilman Joel Wachs and Deputy Los Angeles Police Chief Mark A. Kroeker said the reward is needed because there are no suspects in the case. They announced the reward, which was approved Tuesday by the City Council, at a news conference at the Rich Man, Pour Man bar in Panorama City.
Randenberg and Rader were killed in the parking lot behind the bar about 1:25 a.m. July 12, after spending the evening there drinking with their girlfriends.
