Port Tours Offered at Banning’s Landing

The Port of Los Angeles will sponsor a free community education event Saturday afternoon at Banning’s Landing in Wilmington.
Waterfront ‘92, to be held from 1 to 5 p.m., will feature hourly boat tours of the harbor, diving exhibitions and rescue demonstrations by the U.S. Coast Guard. Children under 12 must be accompanied by adults on the boat tours.
Banning’s Landing is at Avalon Boulevard and Water Street. Free parking and shuttle bus service will be available at the Wilmington Library and at Avalon Boulevard and M Street; Figueroa and B streets; Neptune Avenue and C Street; Fries Avenue and Water Street, and Berth 161 on A Street.
