Assessing Legal System

Share

Last week at McDonald’s, a rating form was given to me with my meal. The form asked me to evaluate the quality of the food and service.

When I take my car to be repaired there is, by law, a notice posted telling me where I can complain if I am not satisfied with the garage’s service.

But, when I enter into the judicial system and courtrooms, I find I have virtually no one interested in whether I have been treated fairly and honestly.

To whom do I turn if I feel I have been subjected to racial bias or gender bias or been treated rudely or unjustly pressured? How can we rate our judges, district attorneys and court employees when no one seems to care how the public is treated by these well-paid individuals?

Is there any reason why the addresses of appropriate agencies which handle complaints should not be posted outside every courtroom?
