FOUNTAIN VALLEY : Mayor, Councilman to Run for Reelection

Share

Mayor James Petrikin and Councilman George Scott will run for reelection for the two open City Council seats in November.

They will be joined in the race by businessmen Dan Hoppy and Robert Hoxsie.

Hoppy, 46, is a former planning commissioner. In 1984, he chaired a committee that initiated a popular drive to limit council members to two consecutive terms.

Hoppy, who said last week that he wants to increase police programs, owns a real estate business and has lived in Fountain Valley since 1974.

Petrikin, 52, a chiropractor, will be seeking his second term. He said he wants to continue the work the council has initiated in meeting its budget and maintaining police services.

Neither Hoxsie, a businessman, nor Scott could be reached for comment.
