OXNARD : City Hires Firm to Review Dump Study
The Oxnard City Council on Tuesday hired a Los Angeles consultant to review an environmental analysis prepared as part of a proposal to keep the Bailard Landfill open until as late as May, 1997.
The council agreed to pay $13,670 to Michael Brandman Associates to determine whether the report adequately addressed impacts on air quality and ground-water supplies, and accurately portrayed health risks associated with operation of the Oxnard dump.
Bailard is scheduled to close in December, 1993.
