An amateur soccer goalie made the save of his life Tuesday when he caught a 2-year-old girl who fell 36 feet from a window of her parents’ apartment.

Paul Edmonds, 28, was returning from a soccer game when he saw little Kayleigh Grant hanging on to the window ledge by her fingertips. He sprinted into position below the window just in time to catch her when she dropped.

“It’s a miracle. He’s a hero to us. He saved her life,” said Kayleigh’s mother, Karen Grant, 28.

She said she entered the room just in time to see her daughter, who had climbed onto the window ledge, fall out.
