SIMI VALLEY : Meeting Scheduled for City Candidates
Simi Valley officials will conduct a special orientation meeting Saturday for all mayoral and City Council candidates, their campaign workers and other interested residents.
The meeting is scheduled for 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Community Room at Simi Valley City Hall, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. Four people have filed to run for mayor in the Nov. 3 election, and 13 others will compete for two council seats.
The orientation meeting was set up to familiarize all candidates with the city’s history, services, administration and current projects. Representatives from various city departments and from the Simi Valley Citizens Election Advisory Commission will make brief presentations and answer questions.
