SIMI VALLEY : Fick Drops Out of City Council Race

H. Larry Fick, one of 13 people running for two Simi Valley City Council seats in the Nov. 3 election, said Thursday that he will not actively campaign for the post because he was recently appointed to the Ventura County grand jury.
Fick, 54, a retired automotive industry manager, said the one-year grand jury term will leave him insufficient time to campaign for or serve on the Council.
