MOORPARK : New Middle School Principal Appointed
The board of the Moorpark Unified School District has appointed a new principal to head Chaparral Middle School.
The board appointed Michael Berger to the post during a closed-door meeting Thursday night. Berger, 45, has served as assistant principal at Moorpark High School for the past three years.
Previously, he worked for the Conejo Valley Unified School District, where he worked at various times as assistant principal at Redwood, Sequoia and Colina intermediate schools. He also taught life sciences at Thousand Oaks High School.
Berger succeeds former Principal Lucretia Peebles, whose contract with the district was not renewed.
