Stephane Chapuisat and Adrian Knup scored two goals each at Tallinn, Estonia, as Switzerland routed Estonia, 6-0, in the Baltic nation’s first World Cup game since it regained independence.

It was the opening match of play in Europe Group One, from which two teams will advance to the 24-nation finals in the United States in 1994. Italy is the favorite in the group, which also includes Scotland, Portugal and Malta.
