THOUSAND OAKS : Community Pool at School Reopened
The Conejo Recreation and Park District reopened a community pool at Thousand Oaks High School on Monday, two weeks after it was shut down because of a broken pump.
The pool had to be closed to recreational swimmers and to swim class students to allow workers to replace the faulty pump, recreation coordinator Bruce Carr said.
Students attending the park district’s swim classes were moved across town to the Newbury Park High School pool while repairs were being made.
The pool at Thousand Oaks High will return to its regularly scheduled hours of operation, from 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturdays. It will also be open Wednesday nights from 7 to 9 p.m.
Both pools are scheduled to shut down their summer recreational swim programs at the end of the month, Carr said.
