Fluor Daniel Inc. said Tuesday that it has won a $400,000 contract to study the feasibility of replacing a 279-mile natural-gas pipeline in Czechoslovakia.
Built in the mid-1960s by the Soviets, the aging pipeline runs from the Ukrainian border across Czechoslovakia. The study was awarded to Fluor Daniel, the main subsidiary of Irvine-based engineering and construction giant Fluor Corp., by the Federal Ministry of Economy in Prague.
The United States Trade and Development Program is funding the project.
