Flynn Vetoes Condom Vending Machine Law

BOSTON — Mayor Raymond L. Flynn has vetoed an AIDS-prevention law that would require bars and restaurants to install condom vending machines. Flynn said Wednesday he based his opposition both on his belief that condoms may encourage sex and an opinion from the city’s lawyer saying that the city cannot legally tie entertainment licenses to condom sales.
