Tracey Hampton-Butler, currently director of financial services for Burbank, will join the city staff in San Gabriel as finance director on Sept. 8.
A graduate of Cal State Bakersfield, Hampton-Butler was chosen from 22 applicants in a statewide search, said San Gabriel City Administrator P. Michael Paules. He called her “an outstanding professional whose integrity and skill will see San Gabriel through a very challenging financial future.”
Alfred M. Diaz of San Dimas has been elected the new Army executive committeeman of the 115,000-member Reserve Officers Assn. of the United States.
An Army Reserve colonel, Diaz previously served as president of the Southern California Army chapter of the Reserve Officers Assn. His reserve assignment is commander of the 638th Reinforcement Training Unit at Patton Army Reserve Center in Bell. In civilian life he works for McDonnell Douglas Electronic Systems Co. in Monrovia.
