The law firm of Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz will close its Los Angeles office. Some of the 28 attorneys and 30 support staff members will be offered positions at other branches of the firm.
The closing, explained as an economic measure, will take place by the end of the year. The announcement was made as an internal dispute at the Philadelphia-based firm appears to end; partner John J. Harkins Jr. has resigned as chairman and from the firm’s executive committee.
