PORT HUENEME : Masked Gunman Robs Restaurant
A man armed with a small-caliber revolver robbed a Port Hueneme pizza restaurant, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said Tuesday.
The man apparently hid in the Round Table Pizza restaurant, 721 W. Channel Islands Drive, until closing late Monday, then confronted three employees just before midnight. He was wearing a stocking mask and gloves.
The employees were ordered to lie on the floor and count to 100. After getting money from a safe, the gunman pulled the telephone cord out of the wall and fled through the rear door.
The man was described as about 25 years old, thin, blond and 6 feet, 4 inches tall.
