CONEJO VALLEY : Deadline Near on Citizen Nominations
The Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce will close its nomination period Monday for the organization’s Man and Woman of the Year awards, a spokeswoman said.
The annual awards are given in recognition of community service. The winners will be announced at the chamber’s annual banquet Sept. 18 at Hyatt Westlake Plaza.
Nominees do not need to be chamber members, and nominations may be submitted by anyone in the community, spokeswoman Mary Lenenan said. Recipients are selected by the chamber’s awards committee.
Winners of the 1990-91 award were Irish John Gore of Thousand Oaks and Dorothy Brockway of Westlake Village, both of whom are active in several service groups and charities.
