Toxic Discharges

Under the state Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, Ventura County must report each week the toxic and potentially toxic materials discharged. The discharges are investigated by the county Environmental Health Division. Verdulera St., Camarillo MATERIAL: 1,800 gallons of raw sewage DATE: Aug. 13 LOCATION: 751 Cochran St., Simi Valley MATERIAL: Unknown quantity of chlortyrisos DATE: Aug. 17 LOCATION: 4612 Pepper Mill St., Moorpark MATERIAL: Unknown amount of natural gas DATE: Aug. 18 LOCATION: Lambert Street, El Rio MATERIAL: 30 gallons of diesel fuel
