Davis’ Comments on Spousal Rape
Davis is feeling “a little bit terrorized of late by the lobbies of women”--”a bunch of grim-faced women . . . most of them women that men would never touch”--who dared to confront the former Los Angeles police chief, in a committee meeting, about his opposition to a tougher law on spousal rape.
What a pathetic and frightening mind-set for anyone to possess--especially an elected representative and former top law enforcement officer. Rape is grim. Most rape victims are attacked and brutalized by an acquaintance, boyfriend, husband, partner or ex, which is deplorable and should be unacceptable in a civilized society.
It would seem that Davis, through his words and actions, is guilty of terrorism; not the women who are merely seeking their rightful protection under the law.
