Lights, Camera, Norris: Action movie star Chuck Norris will do his thing for CBS in a new weekly series that will go into production in January in Dallas and Fort Worth. The action-drama show will cast Norris as a contemporary crime-solving Texas Ranger who is half American Indian. CBS said the show is “for future broadcast on the network,” giving no specific debut date. Norris, in a press release, said he looks forward to the challenge of a TV series “and the opportunity to develop a character whose roots and commitment to justice grow out of the American West.”
