Ernesto Villegas has been appointed to the board of trustees of the El Monte Union High School District, filling the seat vacated by Bob Brown, who resigned July 1 because he moved out of town.
The term ends in November, 1993.
Villegas, one of eight applicants for the position, owns Villegas Realty in El Monte. He also has been active on the Community Development Advisory Board, El Monte Rotary Club, El Monte Cultural Commission, Rio Hondo College Advisory Committee on Real Estate, Los Angeles County-El Monte Municipal Courthouse Building Corp. and the El Monte/South El Monte Chamber of Commerce.
He is on the board of directors of the San Gabriel Valley Board of Realtors.
