Glendale

Pioneer Drive, 300 block--Three men were arrested on suspicion of auto theft at 5:14 a.m. Aug. 24 after a neighbor reported seeing them stripping a car in an alley.

Camino San Rafael, South of Emerald Isle--A courier driving a deposit to the bank reported that his vehicle was forced off the road by two cars and that he was beaten unconscious by two men and robbed of $9,375 cash, a car phone valued at $900 and his wallet, which contained $28, between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 24. The victim was found tied up near his vehicle by his employer.

San Fernando Road, 6700 block--A man was arrested on suspicion of soliciting prostitution at 9:10 p.m. Aug. 25 after police observed him seeking sex from a woman on the street.

Glenoaks Boulevard, 1800 block--A man jumped out of a van and at knifepoint robbed a woman walking home from a bus stop of a purse containing her glasses, a personal stereo valued at $200 and $55 cash at 8:15 a.m. Aug. 26.

Valley View Road, 1200 block--Two juveniles were arrested at 4 p.m. Aug. 26 after a man reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint of jewelry, a remote alarm and a pen, worth a total of $1,880, while walking down the street.

Sonora Avenue and Riverside Drive--Two men, a woman and a male juvenile were arrested on suspicion of auto theft at 1:32 p.m. Aug. 27 after police pulled them over in a hot-wired 1964 Chevy Impala.

North Kenwood Street, 600 block--A man watching television in his apartment at 1:58 p.m. Aug. 27 reported that two men pried his door open with a screwdriver. The victim confronted them and tried to detain them, but they fled after hitting him in the face.

Foothill Boulevard, 3200 block--A man left a supermarket through a rear door with meat and other items valued at $110.22 but was chased down by employees and arrested at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 28.

West Milford Street, 300 block--A woman reported that her two pet parrots and their cages, valued at $1,050, were stolen from her back yard between 11:30 a.m. and 1:55 p.m. Aug. 28.

East Colorado Street, 1300 block--A man trying to buy liquor at a liquor store became irate at being asked for identification and assaulted the clerk with liquor bottles, one of which broke on the victim’s face, at 2:28 p.m. Aug. 29. Three men in a truck were arrested in the 800 block of East Maple Street at 11:51 p.m. on suspicion of the assault and another liquor store incident.

South Brand Boulevard, 1000 block--A gas station attendant was robbed of $1,000 at gunpoint by a man at 11:08 p.m. Aug. 29.

Cleveland Road, 900 block--A house was ransacked and burglarized between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Aug. 30, and $200 cash and an antique camera, electric shaver and jewelry valued together at $1,400 were stolen.

Arden Avenue, 300 block--A product file for the Glendale lead abatement program at the Glendale Police Department indoor range was stolen from an office between July 8 and July 31. The file contained documents related to the lead report being done for Catellus Development Corp., including the project’s scope of work, contractor’s plans, photographs and correspondence.

La Canada/Flintridge

Escalante Drive, 5200 block--A pool cover valued at $1,200 was stolen from a resident’s back yard between Aug. 19 and 25.

Vineta Avenue, 4600 block--Two television sets valued at $1,150 were stolen from a house that might have been unlocked between Aug. 22 and 29, while the owner was on vacation.

Foothill Boulevard, 600 block--An accountant making a deposit for a florist was robbed in a bank parking lot at 1 p.m. Aug. 25 by a man who pushed him and then took a bank deposit bag that contained numerous unendorsed checks.

Inverness Drive, 100 block--A burglar entered an unlocked house and stole $4,000 cash from a countertop on Aug. 25 or 26.

Foothill Boulevard, 2100 block--A clothing store was burglarized at 5:10 a.m. Aug. 30 and an undetermined amount of property was stolen. Police responded to the alarm, but the burglars had fled in a car. About $2,800 damage was done to the store doors.

La Crescenta

Briggs Avenue, 5200 block--A woman reported that one of her uncle’s maids stole $10,000 cash from a closet on Aug. 21 while he was on vacation.

Foothill Boulevard, 2600 block--A car parked in a supermarket lot between 11:45 and 11:55 p.m. Aug. 25 was broken into and jewelry valued at $6,850, office equipment valued at $300 and a car phone valued at $700 were stolen.

Foothill Boulevard, 3100 block--A bank teller was robbed of $1,500 by a man armed with a gun at 9:45 a.m. Aug. 25.

Atwater Village

San Fernando Road and Fletcher Drive--A person in a parking lot was threatened by two men and robbed of $80 at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 24.

Cypress Park

Figueroa Street, 2600 block--Thieves pried security bars from a bar between 2:15 and 9 a.m. Aug. 24 and stole money and a TV valued at $6,500.

Figueroa Street, 3400 block--Two people were shot and injured by a man with a semiautomatic handgun after he asked the victims where they were from at 3:50 p.m. Aug. 25.

Gatewood Street, 2400 block--Four people in a car watching a vehicle fire were approached by two men with a shotgun who took their car with a child inside at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 29. The child was found unhurt two hours later.

Eagle Rock

Colorado Boulevard, 2800 block--Two men armed with a revolver made a woman get out of her car in a parking lot and took her purse, valued at $10, and the vehicle.

Figueroa Street, 7300 block--A female supermarket employee was robbed at gunpoint of $500 at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 24 by a man.

Colorado Boulevard, 2700 block--A man leaving his car in a parking lot at 1 p.m. Aug. 27 was robbed at gunpoint of $350 cash by a man.

Figueroa Street, 7300 block--Two men with a handgun robbed a person in a parking lot at 11:50 p.m. Aug. 26 of a vehicle and $1,460.

Echo Park

Figueroa Terrace, 900 block--A woman was robbed of $330 cash and her credit cards in a driveway at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 24.

Beaudry Avenue, 900 block--Five men armed with a gun and a knife robbed a person in a garage of a wallet and $100 cash at 10:45 p.m. Aug. 24.

Sunset Boulevard and Logan Street--Two men who appeared to be gang members robbed a man working as a recycler of $100 cash at 8 a.m. Aug. 26.

Glassell Park

Cazador Street, 3800 block--Thieves smashed the front window of a house and stole carpets valued at $4,000 on Aug. 23 or 24.

Eagle Rock Boulevard, 3300 block--Industrial equipment valued at $3,600 was stolen from a commercial building at 3:30 a.m. Aug. 25.

Roseview Avenue, 3600 block--Burglars used a key or picked the lock of a house and stole a TV and video equipment valued at $3,325 between 8 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. Aug. 25.

Alice Street and Cypress Avenue--A man stopped in his vehicle at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and robbed a pedestrian of money and jewelry valued at $534.

Toland Way, 4100 block--Jewelry valued at $1,200 was stolen from a house between 8 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. Aug. 28.

Highland Park

Meridian Street, 5200 block--A man was hit in the leg by a gunshot fired by two men in a car at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 24.

Elder Street, 6500 block--Burglars forced open the side door of a house between 9:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Aug. 24 and stole a TV and jewelry valued at $2,000.

Hillandale Drive and Figueroa Street--Two men left a vehicle and snatched a woman’s purse and money valued at $435 at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 25.

North Avenue 56, 1300 block--Three men entered a market with a handgun, forced witnesses to the ground and robbed the clerk of $600 at 8:25 p.m. Aug. 27.

Echo Street, 5000 block--Four men pointed a gun at a driver and passenger in a car at 11:50 p.m. Aug. 27, ordered them out and fled in the victims’ vehicle.

Figueroa Street, 5900 block--Two men with a revolver took money and food valued at $131 from a market at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 28, then sprayed Mace in three victims’ faces and fled.

York Boulevard, 6000 block--A man in a car snatched a woman’s purse valued at $170 and knocked her down at 1:25 p.m. Aug. 29.

York Boulevard, 5900 block--A business was robbed at gunpoint of $90 by three men at 6:50 p.m. Aug. 29.

Los Feliz

Manzanita Street, 1300 block--Firearms and money valued together at $15,000 were stolen from a house on Aug. 23 or 24.

Finley Avenue, 4500 block--A woman in an underground parking lot was robbed at knifepoint of $93 cash and credit cards at 5 p.m. Aug. 25.

Ben Lomond Place, 2200 block--A man followed a woman in a vehicle at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 27. When she left it, he took her purse and money valued at $310.

Edgemont Street and Finley Avenue--A man approached a woman from behind at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 26, grabbed her purse, pushed her to the ground and fled with $95 cash.

Hillhurst Avenue, 1900 block--A man with a shotgun robbed an employee at a business of $100 cash at 9:20 p.m. Aug. 28.

Prospect Avenue, 4100 block--A stereo and jewelry valued at $6,190 were stolen from an apartment between 4 and 10 p.m. Aug. 29.

Mount Washington

Crane Street, 600 block--A TV and video equipment valued at $1,225 were stolen from a house between 8:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 24.

Silver Lake

Micheltorena Street, 1800 block--Jewelry valued at $3,225 was stolen from a house between Aug. 24 and 28.

Garden Avenue, 3400 block--The attached garage of an apartment was broken into on Aug. 23 or 24 and a TV and stereo valued at $2,940 were stolen.

La Mirada Avenue, 4600 block--A man posing as a letter carrier and two other men entered a house, stated that they were police, handcuffed two occupants, ransacked the bedrooms and stole $1,680 cash at 10 a.m. Aug. 25.

Earl Street, 2200 block--Burglars forced a window of a house open between 11:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and stole a stereo and other property valued at $1,675.

North Mohawk Street, 1100 block--Two men with a revolver brandished it at a woman in a driveway and took her purse and wallet, valued at $35, at 5:30 a.m. Aug. 27.

Benton Way and Reservoir Street--A woman walking on the sidewalk at 5:20 p.m. Aug. 27 was robbed of her purse and money valued at $180 by two men.

Glendale and Silver Lake boulevards--Two men robbed a man at gunpoint of his vehicle and a wallet, valued at $650, at 11:50 p.m. Aug. 27.

Silver Lake Boulevard, 1700 block--Burglars pried open a window between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27 and stole jewelry and a TV valued at $1,620.

Hyperion Avenue, 2900 block--A mini-market employee was robbed at gunpoint of $40 at 4 a.m. Aug. 28.
