The time is long overdue for the Dodgers to find themselves a manager. They have been without one most of the season.

Anyone with time to waste watching them on TV two months ago will recall how bored Tommy Lasorda was. All he did was sit and watch the game. He ate, spat where players had to walk and he did not say a word to anyone. Then he yawned.

All he is fit for is a place in a comic strip.
