French Aircraft Maker Gets Lift: Shares in French military aircraft maker Dassault Aviation rose 15% on a report that it will sign a $2.6-billion contract to sell 60 Mirage 2000 jet fighters to Taiwan. Taiwan’s state-funded radio said Dassault, which is 26% owned by the French government, had agreed to cut its price of $54 million per aircraft by 20%. The sale would be a boost to Dassault, which has not had a major Mirage export order since 1986. Dassault officials were not immediately available for comment.
