A Great Leap Forward--With Fly Swatter in Hand

BEIJING —
Invoking slogans reminiscent of China’s revolutionary past, officials are arming residents with pesticides and swatters to battle a new enemy--flies.
Official media reports say Beijing is waging an all-out war to rid the capital city of every fly over the next two years.
Banners have gone up with the slogan, “Mobilize the Masses to Build a City of No Flies.”
