Chapman Edges CCI in Men’s Soccer, 2-1

Dean Laird scored on a penalty kick with about six minutes left to give Chapman a 2-1 victory over Christ College Irvine in a nonconference men’s soccer match Monday at Irvine.

Brian Beaman scored on a penalty kick midway in the first half as CCI took a 1-0 lead. Scott Montroy tied it, 1-1, about 10 minutes later for Chapman (1-0).
