Great Western, Pacific First Bank to Swap Some Branches: Great Western Financial Corp. said it tentatively agreed to swap certain branches and assets with Seattle-based Pacific First Bank. Through the exchange, Great Western will pick up 10 Pacific First branches in Southern California plus about $445 million in deposits. Pacific First will get 14 Great Western branches in the Seattle area and $385 million in deposits. The deal is subject to regulatory clearing.
