Glendora : Grant Application OKd
An application for a $33,000 U.S. Department of Education library literacy grant was approved by the City Council on Tuesday.
Library Director Connie Tiffany said the funds will help the Glendora Literacy Alliance reach 35 to 50 adults, ages 17 and older, for one year. Funding for the next year has yet to be found.
The mostly volunteer alliance is made up of community organizations, residents and educators who have kept the program afloat through private fund raising and grants, Tiffany said.
