WEST COVINA : One Killed, One Wounded in Shooting Outside Club
Police sought two male Latinos driving a dark-colored pickup truck in the shooting death of one man and the wounding of another in a parking lot altercation early Wednesday.
More than 200 patrons were leaving the Red Onion restaurant and nightclub on West Garvey Avenue when the shooting erupted about 2 a.m., West Covina Police Lt. Lee Rossman said.
John Joe Gregory, 22, of Los Angeles, was fatally wounded in the chest. Borman L. Dominguez, 22, of Pasadena, was admitted to Queen of the Valley Hospital with a stomach wound. The altercation and shooting occurred after the pickup truck narrowly missed backing into a car containing Gregory and Dominguez, Rossman said.
