And for Trojan Fans, Tie Doesn’t Quite Fit

Share

In the last minute of the USC-San Diego State game, a San Diego State receiver dropped a pass that would have given the Aztecs good field position for an easy field goal. Instead, they had to settle for a 55-yard attempt.

After the dropped pass, San Diego State Coach Al Luginbill went crazy on the sidelines. He had a temper tantrum and showed horrendous sportsmanship, slamming his clipboard in front of 50,000 fans and a TV audience. Doesn’t he realize these players are youngsters, 18 to 22 years old? You don’t see USC Coach Larry Smith act like this, mostly because he has become accustomed to inept play by his team.
