Solar Flair, Cal Poly Pomona’s solar energy...

Solar Flair, Cal Poly Pomona’s solar energy vehicle, won first in class honors at the Grand Solar Challenge held in Kanazawa, Japan, last month, topping 49 competitors in the endurance class.

The car finished in fourth place overall among 101 cars entered in the race. It was also honored with the Mayor’s Award for creativity and imagination.
