Share

Pat Walker, the father of new UCLA quarterback Rob Walker, was surprised by how his son played in his first college start.

“He even looked like he knew what he was doing out there,” Pat Walker said after watching his son complete 18 of 26 passes for 198 yards in the Bruins’ 17-10 win at BYU last Saturday.

Rob Walker’s friends called to congratulate him.

“They were surprised that I performed that well,” Rob Walker said. “They didn’t think in a million years that it could be done, based on everything I’d done in my high school career.”
