Two Americans touched down in Morocco on Tuesday to end the longest balloon flight in history and the first from the United States to Africa.

Troy Bradley, 28, and Richard Abruzzo, 29, floated sedately down a valley near Casablanca, pursued by huge curious crowds as they prepared to return to earth after about 146 hours in the air, race director Alan Noble said.

In making the voyage in seven days, the Americans, broke the world endurance record set by Abruzzo’s father in 1978.
