Indiana University Coach Sam Bell was the top vote-getter among the five new members named to the National Track and Field Hall of Fame.

They will be inducted Dec. 4 in Louisville, Ky.

Also named were the University of Nebraska’s Charlie Greene, winner of a gold medal in the 1968 Olympics; the late Jess Mortensen, a national javelin champion and track coach at USC; Charlie Jenkins, a runner and later coach at Villanova who won two events at the 1956 Olympics, and Archie Williams of the University of California, the 1936 Olympic gold-medal winner at 400 meters.
