USC Women Beat Loyola Marymount

The USC women’s volleyball team defeated Loyola Marymount, 15-12, 15-7, 15-8, Wednesday night at USC.
Freshman Amy Moeller led the Lions (6-5) with 16 kills. Freshman middle blocker Mardell Wrensch, in her first start, had a .444 kill percentage and three blocks.
Loyola plays at San Diego State on Friday. USC is 7-1.

Dannel Christian had two goals to lead the Loyola men’s soccer team to a 3-2 victory over La Verne Wednesday at Loyola.
Jeff Van Gastel added a goal for the Lions (2-4-2), who play host to Sacramento State on Sunday. La Verne is 0-5.

The Loyola water polo team improved to 2-4 by defeating Chapman, 14-3, Wednesday at Loyola.
Jess Lee led the Lions with seven goals. Loyola will compete in a tournament at Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday and Sunday.
