Three Cincinnati Bengals filed a countersuit against a woman they say falsely accused them of participating in a gang rape at a suburban Seattle hotel two years ago.

Filing suit in federal court for defamation and breach of contract were safety Barney Bussey, wide receiver Tim McGee and running back Eric Ball. The men seek unspecified damages from the woman identified in court papers as Victoria C.

In her civil suit against 20 present and former Bengals, the woman accused Bussey and McGee of rape and Ball of aiding and abetting the assault. She accused 12 players of rape and eight of watching and doing nothing to stop the attack.

No criminal charges have been filed in the case.
