Magic Plans to Play in San Diego
Laker guard Magic Johnson, who announced Tuesday that he was coming out of retirement, is planning on making the Sports Arena one of three scheduled stops on his exhibition tour. The Lakers will play the Sacramento Kings at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23.
Tickets are on sale at TicketMaster and the Sports Arena box office. Tickets prices range from $9 to $50.50.

Cal State Dominguez Hills handed the UC San Diego women’s team its first loss, 4-1, at Triton Soccer Stadium. UCSD (4-1), ranked third in Division III, scored first on an Eva Kingsbury goal. Dominguez Hills, ranked first in Division II, improved to 7-1.
Freshman Matt Chilton scored both goals in UCSD’s 2-1 victory over visiting The Master’s College in a nonconference game. Nick Terlecky assisted on the first goal and Sergio Salvado on the second.
Azusa Pacific defeated visiting Point Loma Nazarene, 4-0, in the Golden State Athletic Conference opener for the Crusader men. PLNC fell to 3-2, 0-1.
