Money for the Taper: The Mark Taper Forum has won a $100,000 grant to help fund its presentation of “Perestroika,” Part II of playwright Tony Kushner’s “Angels in America” epic that opens next month at the Taper. The grant was twice as large as any of the other five awarded this year by the Kennedy Center-based Fund for New American Plays. One of those went to South Coast Repertory: $37,000 for its production of Thomas Babe’s “Great Day in the Morning” next February. Each of the six winning playwrights also will receive $10,000. Part I of “Angels” received an earlier fund grant for its premiere at the Eureka Theatre in San Francisco.
