Selling Angels Might Be Answer

As we come to the end of yet another abysmal Angel season, I can’t help but wonder why it is that Atlanta and Baltimore, the laughingstocks of baseball back in 1988, have managed to rebuild their teams into solid contenders while the Angels, with very few exceptions, have been stinking up the American League for more than 30 years and show no signs of being able to field even a competitive team in the near future.

It’s no wonder the Autrys were so eager to oust Fay Vincent. They were probably worried that he might try to use his “best interest of baseball” powers to replace them with competent ownership.
