In another Marmonte League opener:

Camarillo 38, Agoura 20--Senior tailback Fahali Campbell rushed for 253 yards in 31 carries, including a 30-yard scoring run and a 73-yard run to set up another score, as the Scorpions’ ground game was too much for the host Chargers.

After kicker Lee Ciuffitelli booted a 50-yard field goal in the second quarter, Agoura (2-2) charged back with two touchdowns to erase a 10-0 Camarillo lead.

But with 2:47 remaining in the half, Scorpion quarterback Richard Jaramillo engineered a 10-play, 63-yard drive, capped by his six-yard scoring pass to Ryan Joyce with 22 seconds remaining to give Camarillo (3-1) a 17-14 lead at halftime.

Agoura tailback Scott Mitchell gained 118 yards in 22 carries, including touchdown runs of two and 27 yards.
