USC quarterback Rob Johnson, who did not return after suffering a concussion during the second quarter of the Trojans’ 17-10 loss to Washington at Seattle on Saturday, is expected to be ready to play on Saturday against Oregon at the Coliseum, Coach Larry Smith said Sunday.
Johnson, a sophomore who leads the Pacific 10 in passing efficiency, was knocked unconscious when he was hit by defensive end Jamal Fountaine and linebackers James Clifford and Jaime Fields with 8:36 to play before halftime.
Johnson was replaced by Reggie Perry, who later was replaced by Kyle Wachholtz.
Johnson is expected to practice today, Smith said through a spokesman.
